Kuranda Scenic Railway is the original scenic rail journey to Kuranda. This spectacular experience travels over bridges and through tunnels hand-made by North Queensland's pioneers over 100 years ago. Traversing the World Heritage listed rainforest of the Barron Gorge National Park, this is one of the world's great railway journeys.

This is a great thing to do with the kids, jump on board an old train with a good reliable Diesel engine. The train winds its way through the mountains to some very picturesque views, which are easily captured through the carriages open windows. The...More

Up on the Kuranda railway & back on Skyrail gives you the full sense of the beautiful surroundings of the Cairns Region. History about cutting the railway integration side of the mountain both interesting and informative. Fantastic views & waterfalls were spectacular Strongly recommend

We took the gold class upgrade, but the whole train is great. A slow trip up to Kuranda, felt so relaxing. Great scenery and good commentary - both quality & quantity.
