Just after Gordonvale you find the small sign pointing right to Behana Creek. Need to follow for few minutes till the end of the road (small carpark). Follow the water pipe along the concrete path past gate. Be prepared that it will take around 30mto...More

Small swimming hole and not easily accessed. Once you have completed a 3km walk you have to climb down a rocky slope to access the water hole. This swimming hole would not cater for the elderly or small children. Extremely long walk! Pack a picnic...More

Behana is absolutely gorgeous and worth the 3km uphill hike to get there! We made the mistake of wearing thongs as we didnt think the walk was long but definitely regretted that by the end. Water is beautiful, crystal clear and great for a swim

Great place. A good hard uphill walk made worthwhile by the waterfalls and pools at the top! The water is crystal clear, but freezing cold in late May, nut definitely recommend a swim.

The walk up to the gorge is pleasant and when you get there it is a good place to relax, have the picnic and cool down

Absolutely stunning waterfall and lots of areas to swim (not suitable for young children). It is a steep walk, and well worth the refreshing water at the end. Great photo opportunity, and an asset to the FNQ region. Simply stunning!

I walked Behana gorge with my 6 month old in my ergo carrier. Definitely a mission but so worth it at the end. I wasn't fit as such but I did it and had a nice swim at the end. Concrete path the entire way....More

The path is full of hills and when you get to the gorge there isn't a very smooth path for a pram, pouch would be best
