An alchemy of rusty iron, sophisticated cocktails, tropical beats, hearty steaks, and hustling cane toads, the Iron Bar is a restaurant, bar and late night venue, synonymous with entertainment in Port Douglas. By day, the Iron Bar is a popular dining destination, featuring a lip smacking steakhouse menu, classic Aussie pub style eats, and all your favourite burgers, buffalo wings and BBQ ribs. After dinner, you'd be a clown not to indulge in a little bit of unique Port Douglas entertainment, with the famous cane toad racing! Later, the Iron Bar transforms as the epic epicentre of nightlife in Port Douglas. Choose your groove, in two levels of indoor and outdoor space, with the perfect balance of busy dance floors, quiet corners, easily accessible bar, and street space. Our dance floors play host to a mix of live and spun music while the eclectic mix of locals, visitors, royalty, backpackers, American Presidents, wedding parties, sports teams and cane toads brings an unpretentious classic Aussie atmosphere where everybody is welcome, everybody is friendly and everybody will dance! You can't say you've truly been to Port Douglas if you haven't been to the Iron Bar.

Food was very reasonably priced and tasted great too. We also enjoyed the cane toad races after dinner. The guy who ran it was hilarious catering for both kids and adults!

Very rare for us to in a pub. I think the crumbed Baramundi was frozen.... little to no taste. I am so sick of asking for salad and getting mostly rocket lettuce. Quick cheap and nasty food. Sorry but for us so dissaponting

Not one to write reviews but this place was such a let down, it forced my hand! Twice cooked pork belly was more like, cooked 4 times, accompanied with four time cooked potatoes. The 2 pieces of broccoli was good, wish I had more. Our...More

Hubby and I had a nice night at Ironbar. He ordered the prawn linguini and I had the pork belly. We felt the food and wine were a little overpriced for the quality however the staff and atmosphere was great.

We had lunch here over a few days. The prawn bucket is great value. But try skme of the other items kn the menu. This place brings some of the outback to the ocean.

The restaurant is down town Port Douglas and worth a visit. We sat out side on a warm evening. We both had the fish and chips very light batter with large tender fish. Drinks where reasonable. Overall worth a visit also reasonably priced

We have been going to the Iron Bar for 14 years and love the uniqueness. Food is good and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere, quirky and good bands on the weekend. Recommend this place, one of the best places to eat in Port Douglas.

Great little relaxed local hangout. My Husband and I kept coming back to this little place. The best part is the Cane toad racing which is on every night at 8pm, although we never won it was great entertainment. Great casual place for a beer...More
