As other reviewers have said, this is a premium experience, not cheap, but it will last longer than most souvenirs of your holiday. We were picked up at our accommodation at 09.15 and taken to the Marina, where we boarded the massive 'Wavepiercer' cruiser, sitting...More

Not a cheap day. But it is worth every penny. You certainly get what you pay for. A first class large catamaran takes you out to the outer reef. To be precise the Agincourt reef. That is where their permanent platform is situated. Stinger suits,...More

Amazing whole day on board this awesome boat and the fabulous platform they have set up out at the Reef. Staff were excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great and plentiful. Absolutely the best experience, highly recommend for everyone to do this day trip.

We booked a trip with Quicksilver VIII and enjoyed the journey to the platform during which we were served tea/coffee and biscuits. On arrival at the platform we were able to go in a semi submersible, which was an awesome experience and as there were...More

Absolutely fantastic experience. Loved every minute. Well organised and great fun, we enjoyed the trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. The semi submersible was brilliant and the guide was most informative, the coral and marine life were beautiful. The helicopter ride was a ‘must...More

Had such an awesome day out on the reef with Silversonic we rebooked for 2days later! Went out on the Poseidon and it could not measure up boat or food wise. So the boat you book on impacts the "cruise" but not snorkelling experience!

Biggest let down of our 4week holiday. 400 people on board catamaran. On arrival at reef no fish to be seen anywhere. Not even worth diving/ snorkelling. Expensive mistake.

Quicksilver VIII is a large vessel that handled rough seas well. Can’t always pick your day - but even with a choppy ride and some rain and waves at the reef - the experience was incredible!!! Sydney was amazing, the Daintree Rainforest worth a day...More

There weren't lockers or anything like that there. My husband snorkled and I took the submersible so I kept our cameras with me. Other folks just bundled up there stuff and left it tucked away or on tables. There didn't seem... More
