We enjoyed 5 days at Spear Creek Station Caravan Park in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. There is so much to see within walking distance of the Caravan Park and if you do the tag-along sunset drive with the Manager, Graham, you will enjoy a beautiful sunset and great 360 views. We also drove to Wilmington and had lunch in... More

The country scenery changes all the time and the ranges themselves are stunning. As good as anywhere in Australia, I feel, and I have seen a lot of the interior. We visited several sites and enjoyed them all. Especially good in winter as it is greener and prettier for photos.

There are some fantastic B&Bs in this area that offer old world ambience as well as lovely home cooked meals with characters and commentary. Some beautiful walks ranging from quite short to several kilometers as well as tiny villages to stroll through and check out the local wares. Sp[ring and Autumn offer the best weather.

Basing yourself at Melrose, which has a range of accomodation, some with distinctive character, you can explore the Mt Remarkable National Park which means... More

We had a family holiday here in April 2011 and had a fantastic time with perfect weather. Great walking trails, excellent kids club, good restaurants, we'll be back!
