Wow what a great place to visit, especially with young children. Check the feeding times when you arrive, so you can see the animals being fed. Great to see the Pandas in their enclosure, then when we left they were outside - got some great photos of them. Loved being able to see into the vet room. We were watching... More

As soon as I discovered Adelaide Zoo is the only zoo in Australia with a sloth and a flamingo I just had to visit. (And they did not disappoint) I had mixed feelings on our zoo trip. We visited during the week so it was relatively quiet... we saw many animals and was able to explore the zoo extensively. In... More

Wow Adelaide Zoo, a great place to explore, they have giant Panda, and great talk shows. You have the choice of a guided tour, or just wander and look at the map and hope you get to where you are going. (That is if you are not good at reading maps.) There are plenty of places to sit and have... More

The zoo has been updated since my last visit. Not the best zoo in the world but I am sure they are doing their best with the funds available. Enclosures are becoming more animal friendly, some still have a little way to go. Feeding times can be busy around the particular exhibits so get there early for a better view.... More

Visited Adelaide Zoo primarily to see the Pandas and was impressed with this exhibit and the consideration for the health and welfare of these exotic animals. Most of the other animals though, do not enjoy the same benefits and endue smaller enclosures

We arrived when the zoo opened in the morning and stayed till midday. In that time we had a leisurely walk, saw all the exhibits and had a pleasant morning tea. We had 3 keeper talks which were very informative. We were very lucky and all the animals were out and active. Compact zoo with great exhibits and easy to... More

I thought it was a bit expensive for an adult, $35 Australian for an adult, but we had a good time. Lots of different animals, favourites were the hippos and pandas. Basically everything was sleeping when we were there except the meercats and baboons, so it's better to time your visit to see the feeding times.
