It can be hard at times to organise fun family outing with two teenage boy's. But, this was AWESOME!!!
Jess was very polite, accommodating and explained the rules well. $36 per person for a great hour was worth it...and no arguing

We had an astronomically convivial time at the Adventure rooms Adelaide!
I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
As we exited the lift on the fourth floor into the foyer, we were greeted with kind and enthusiastic staff, they told us what we were doing, and they stayed with us while we changed plans on the spot. They were very accommodating.
There was a nice bird’s eye view of Rundle Mall from the concaved windows, they had some immaculate industrial lighting and the interior design fit in perfectly with the theme. The whole foyer was welcoming and cosy.
We then were given a thorough explanation of the rules in a kind and happy way, and they made sure we didn’t have any doubts and that we had gone to the toilet beforehand which was a very thoughtful consideration.
The rooms were very nicely designed. The Abandoned Cabin escape room is mainly for people who are looking for a little scare as the room was very thrilling and hard, there were jump scares and the lighting was dark and gloomy.
The puzzles were really tough because we had to look at stuff closely, move objects around, put books in an order, play a tune in a certain order to open a door, add stuff up and figure out riddles that made little to no sense.
The rooms were very nerve-racking since we could see the time running out on a Tv screen and us being completely clueless on what to do. We got 10 minutes of extra time to get through the last of the rooms. The abandoned cabin is the room you will need the extra time and when you do, you will let out a sigh of happiness.
The staff members were really enthusiastic at the end, and they agreed to take photos which helped capture our memorable day.
Honestly, I would recommend this to everyone, and I would definitely want to come back with the class and with my friends and family.

This was a great fun way to spend the evening. We did the escape room "The Gaol Break" and escaped with 12 minutes to spare. Our games master was friendly and welcoming, and it was good to be able to enjoy a drink afterwards. The location was handy too, as there are plenty of restaurant options nearby if you would like to have dinner before or afterwards. The puzzles really made you think, and it was interesting to see how the different members of our group were good at different challenges. Our whole group loved it, and we're looking forward to doing this again soon.

Quite disappointed. This was booked for me, and I am unlikely to return, due to the monotony of suit case locks that are hard to open with large hands and without glasses. Very little variety in unlocking mechanisms, which also means that, once one of the 35 (exagg.) 3-digit codes is found, one has always several locks to try them out, losing time. Another person of the party confirmed that another room was similarly set up. The Speakeasy is rated 4/5 - with an escape rate of 30%, this seems inappropriate. - without glasses (which I rarely need), neither myself nor my husband were able to operate the many, many suitcase locks. Perhaps put in your reminder email to bring reading glasses, I suspect a group of older people would struggle no end. The site says 2-7 players. All rooms were just about big enough for four, the first room will not allow 7 players to play effectively, they would be in each others' way and light, which we really struggled with (lighting in room 1). Also, there is barely anything in room 1 - why not put the boxes that need unlocking a little higher up, so people who have any sort of mobility issue (back, knees, feet, even neck) can participate without major issues. Room 2 and 3 looked nice, room 1 was bare and ugly. With a 30% escape rate, I suspect many people spend the majority (as we did) in this room, with no variety and bound to leave disappointed. I got frustrated and bored with one suitcase lock after another, and as neither my partner nor myself could see well enough to open them, the other players in our team found themselves on lock duty and got bored of that, also. Given there has been similar feedback for years, it is disappointing and a disservice not to do anything about it. We got talked through the remainder of the room lacklusterly after failing. No way to ask for help when we were ready for it, losing a lot of time waiting for the operator to notice we were struggling. Help only comes in form of an image that disappears quickly, not actual interaction. No cash option. Other escape venues have a fun room in which to take photos with fun props - happy to pay for this service and receive the photos electronically to share with the group, as one can see before what the photo is likely to look like, too. Adventure Rooms has a logo on the wall and some signs in the basket and the photos the staff member took for us were badly lit and blurry.

Always wanted to try out the escape rooms. Did not disappoint as we had a wonderful time. Good lateral thinking was required. Would suggest to tidy up /paint / touch-up rooms & displays to make it that little bit harder as the marks left by others made it easier than it should have been
Would defiantly do again and recommend for anyone to do at least one.

First time try after hearing from friends who have don't adventure escape rooms before. Great with a group of friends ( 4 or more ) split up into teams and go about solving the clues to unlock the padlocks. Only problem the numbers on the commbination locks are hard to read even with good eyesight, other than that a good fun night enjoyed by all especially the group that won.

The experience blows 'Fun' out of the water. What a rollercoaster. Josh was an engaging, energetic host and really piqued our excitement before we attempted the Gaol break. Happy to report we made it out and are still on the run from the authorities.

From the moment you enter Adventure Rooms you are treated to a professional experience. The staff are friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The layout of the rooms, the puzzles involved and the whole experience is a great combination of intrigue, mind testing fun. We had a great time. No complaints or issues. Would highly recommend a visit.

We had a great hour escaping at the Adventure Rooms. We were a large group of 20 inc children that they accommodated very well. We had 2 large rooms booked that they split us up into 4 groups of 5. And each large room split into 2. So we had 30 mins Escape time in each room half. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Plus as a bonus we escaped twice!

Already planning our next visit!

I've done a few escape rooms in Adelaide, this was by far my favourite one!!

We were 4 people who did the Speakeasy game. The interior was amazing and the puzzles were cleverly and creatively thought out.

Half of our group haven't previously done an escape room but their friendly staff were very helpful and answered all their questions.
