It was so much bigger than I expected and well worth the $15 per person. It takes you through the mining section underground, also some history and collections in another layer and also living areas in another section, which I probably found the most interesting....More

The owner is a great character. Was good to go through a mine. The owner also turned on the blower outside for a demo. Worth a visit.

Interesting place, particularly enjoyed the demonstration of the blower used for mining opal. Lots of information in museum presented in a 1970-80s style. Not a flash presentation, more ramshackle in places but felt it gave a true, non sanitised flavour of mining pre modern era.

Had a great time touring the mine and learning about the golden days of opal mining. Interesting and well put together displays with lots of interesting information provided along the way. Recommended.

This was an OK place to visit and quite informative. We enjoyed the part which showed how they lived underground

The self guided tour allowed all of us to linger at the points of greatest personal interest. The museum was well organised, safe and most interesting. A great way to spend an hour or two.
