Among the many things we can be grateful for living in this country is the large number of National Parks we have spread over Australia, preserving these amazing area of natural beauty for this and future generations. Flinders Chase National Park is home to an amazing array of places to visit and things to see, including lighthouses, rock formations and brilliant coastlines to name a few. When visiting there is a park access fee of $12.50, a pittance compared to the cost to maintain the fantastic infrastructure within the park that allows visitors safe access to everything it has to offer.

A beautiful part of the world! It’s an easy drive to see some of the most beautiful scenery and nature at its best!
Walking down to Admirals Arch we stopped and watched the seals climbing up the hill and over the rocks to get to their “homes”. A little further down the road we spotted a koala high up in the trees moving around until she stopped in a certain place and started eating.
At Cape Borda Lighthouse we spotted kangaroos hopping about and coming close to us without fear. It was a beautiful day to watch the animals in their natural environment.
The walk to the Remarkables was easy and the views breathtaking. A perfect day

So many things to see. The rocks and the information about them was great. Weirs Cove really interesting. Admirals Arch. What a walk, but we made it. Bonus was the baby seals.
Was a good price.

It is about 150 km from Peneeshaw to this park and takes up a couple of hours each way. The Remarkables were truly amazing, but heavy rain prevented us from visiting Admiral's arch. Visitors need to be aware that Kangaroo Island is very large and at least 2 days are needed to see it properly.

Had a fantastic time at Admiral's Arch, the Remarkables, Weir's Cove and Cape du Couedic. Started at the Vistor Centre (that had the cleanest toilets) where a National Parks officer went through a map with us and suggested the places we ended up going to. Absolutely stunning scenery - and seeing the plants regenerating after the 2020 fires was very special. Some parts were very very cold and windy so do wear warm clothes if winter - but the weather added to the experience. The force of nature on the coastline is massive and just amazing to watch. Loved seeing the fur seals at Admiral's Arch - on the rocks and swimming. Take food and drink with you as no shops in the park but there are toilets at the visitors centre plus Admiral's Arch and the Remarkables. The road to Weir's Cove was unsealed - but it was in great condition and easy to drive in a 2wd. The other roads were sealed. Post bushfire work is occurring - amd has occurred - so there are new boardwalks to the Remarkables. We paid online before going but we could have done it using wifi at the Victor's Centre.

I love this place. Be aware though that it is quite a drive from Kingscote, so that will add to the length of your day. Easier to manage if you are staying further west - Parndana or Vivonne Bay. Having said that, the roads are paved to the park entry and allow for easy and relatively fast travel.

I made a previous trip there about 30 years ago and was equally impressed. The difference this time was the unbelievable damage done by the bushfires and the regrowth that beginning to come back. The scenery is stunning everytime you visit.
A struggle if, like me, you are not able to walk very far.

Spend the time to go to Flinders Chase National Park, and the walk to the Remarkable Rocks. They are truly a spectacular site. Easy access through the bush on the purpose built walkway

Admiral's Arch is a must see! The views are fantastic and you are able to spot fur seals lounging on the rocks below as well.
