We drove up to Mt. Wellington on a very wet, cold and windy day. The road was icy and either side was filled with freshly fallen snow. On the way up we saw cars driving down with small snowmen sitting on the bonnet of their...More

We came to see the snow. The roads were closed from The Springs and were told we could walk up the road 7km of uphill is a fair hike. It took just over 2 hours. The road is narrow and I don't recommend walking on...More

Stunning views when clear, even more so when you have a big fall of snow. It seemed most of Hobart was up there enjoying the snow. The park management did an excellent job of making the roads safe so we could could reach the top....More

Worth the drive as the view is just lovely. It's peaceful, pretty and free. Once there, it's windy and cold and you will need clear weather to be able to see the view. The temperature drops considerably and the wind chill cannot be underestimated.

Fairly easy drive up the mountain. Excellent views when the clouds cleared. Wind was extreme and the ice pellets were painful on the face. But definitely worth the drive up.

Gets real windy at times so hold on tight! But the views are spectacular and worth it. There's a small indoor viewing section, but for the most part, you're right in the elements. Adventurous and challenging hikes start/finish here as well as a bit further...More

There are stairs down to the lower viewing platforms, so it's not 100% accessible. But you won't be missing out by not going to these. As the others said, take very warm clothes.
