Our family of four, two parents and two young adults, had a wonderful day with our guide Katie who drove us in a comfortable van to the far end of the ocean road and then slowly back to Melbourne. It was a 12-hour day and Katie's energy and attention did not flag for a minute. She had great stories to... More

We are two couples from LA (that's Louisiana) who had a wonderful morning tour of Melbourne. As a result, we now feel equipped to se out on our own in the city. Dylan did a great job pointing out interesting and fun things to do and places to go. He picked us up at our hotel this morning and headed... More

I wish we could attach the videos of Katie singing Australian songs in Federal Square with the Art Center in the background and under the gum tree on Lygon Street. This was our first full day in Australia and first ever visit to Melbourne after a 24+ hour journey from our home south of Philadelphia in the US. Katie was... More

What a great day with Paul, private tour with just the two of us. Slight mess up with holiday company and Incorrect collection time, which meant we did not have time for animal sanctuary. Visited Dominique Porter wine yard first which was very informatively and interesting, the on to Oakridge where we had more wine taxing and lunch. The food... More

I had the most wonderful guide Dillon who picked me up at my hotel. Loved my guided tour of Phillip Island. The Fairy penguin parade is a memory that I will treasure forever.

Dylan was an amazing guide throughout the Great Ocean Road tour. He worked hard to understand what we were looking for and adapted the trip to our tastes. :)

We had three amazing days in Melbourne with our guide Jeff. He was fun to be with, had lots of interesting information and he was able to customize our tour to our interests. We started with a trip down the Great Ocean Road. We stopped for breakfast and a walk by the lighthouse, followed by a scenic drive with stops... More

We enjoyed a marvelous day along the Great Ocean Road with the perfect guide, Katie. A local to the area, Katie was an incredible resource. Her knowledge of everything Australian can not be overstated. More than her knowledge, Kaite distinguishes herself with a relentlessly positive attitude and ability to be flexible and make good decisions. She was the perfect companion... More

I did enjoy two day tours with MPT last weekend. Really worth it if you want to get a good taste of Melbourne and surroundings. I did the Great Ocean Road tour with Helmut and the Daylesford day tour with Brendan. Both great and knowledgeable! The Great Ocean Road is obviously a must. I would even more recommend the two-day... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
