Just go for it. You will love it. You will see parts of Melbourne from a different perspective. It is much hillier than you might believe...from the Italian area to the food and fruit market and all around with lunch in an unusual place you might not see otherwise. ...coffee too.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Yes, we are able to tailor the tour and take you to places you would never find without a guide. Yes everyone thinks Melbourne is flat but the bikes we use have only 3 gears, making it not at all difficult to conquer the inclines. Thanks for coming along. Loved... More

An excellent day. Geoff was very knowledgable with anecdotes and historical facts. He was enthusiastic throughout the whole route which gave an excellent overview to the city, parks, a couple of suburbs. Lunch was tasty and plentiful and the level of cycling would suit all. I always like to visit a new city by bike and this was up with... More

Thoroughly recommend this company, we had Rick as our guide. Great way of seeing Melbourne. Rick had so much knowledge and information that we wouldn't have got any other way. Really enjoyed the day which finished off on a rooftop bar with Rick, watching the jet and helicopters which were flying above because of the Formula One taking place at... More

It was not the most beautifull day in the world when we, three friends of Belgium started the Melbourne by bike tour. We expected a young, suntanned Aussie guy, but we were awaited by Michelle, a lovely beautifull lady. She showed us around Melbourne, showing the things we expected to see, but also the things we didn't expect as the... More

I am from country Victoria and have been to Melbourne many times. This time however I bought the bike ride for my English husband so that we could really have a good look around. It was fantastic. We were shown the small alley ways, graffiti art and some of the iconic places around Melbourne. We stopped for a coffee in... More

We had a wonderfull bike trip with Geoff. He showed us Melbourne in quite a diversity: history stories and buildings; sports; streetart, also the little streets that were not in the lonely planet. We wanted to visit Victoria market, so he made a detour to show us the market; and new buildings with their own story. Lovely and sportive!!! If... More

I startet my time in Melbourne with this tour. Rick was a super guide. We've seen a lot from Melbourne. It gives you an idea what to do or what to visit. Rick has taken many photos of us and emailed them the next day. I would do it again!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
