Visited South Melbourne market on a Sunday, and had a good experience. It is not so big that you feel lost or that it is too repetitive with stalls. The fresh meat, seafood and deli stalls all have an abundance of product to chose from....More

This is a fantastic market. Go as often as I can for cheeses, fresh vegetables and meats. Great place. Locals should always go and if early parking not an issue.

Smaller than the showy Victoria market. But this is a market where a lot of locals actually shop. It has a really good atmosphere; all the noise and smells of a market. Good value food and you can eat here at so many places.

Went to South Melbourne markets with our daughter and it was a culinary delight. Fantastic fresh meat, seafood, bread, vegetables, fruit, meals - the list goes on and on. Easy to park and get around. Not overly touristy. A sensory delight.
