What a brilliant beach! Close to the CBD and great with younger kids. The water is shallow to kids can play in the water. Half Moon Bay is also home to HMVS Cerberus, the last surviving monitor warship, older kids can swim out there.

great place to spend a few hours enjoying the surf. The waves are moderate in size, there is a walk down stairs to reach the beach at the bottom of the cliffs. Great fun for surfing, boarding and playing in the waves

I just loved this beach. Although there were no waves, it was really nice and relaxing. I will definitely go back next time I am in Melbourne.
