Melbourne zoo has some great displays of animals. They all look reasonably content however the tigers could have a bit more space. They are still hard to get a good photo because of their constant moving. The orang-utans seem a bit sombre but are magnificent....More

Although there were some well kept and maintained enclosures and exhibits, most looked old, neglected and very poorly designed for the captive animals. It is a zoo from an unenlightened era. I felt embarrassed to be part of the throng in all honesty! I would...More

We went with our primary school on an overnight zoo snooze. It was very exciting sleeping in tents eating in the old elephant barn and doing a night walk to see many of the animals. Great adventure for a family or group.

A regular favourite of mine. Take a picnic & explore... The zoo is constantly upgrading their facilities so there is always something new to explore. Check out the seals. Watch them dive, twist & have fun together. So many attractions, mere words don't do them...More
