The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is Australia's largest, oldest and most popular sporting venue. The MCG has hosted plenty of international cricket, including the first-ever Test and the 1992 World Cup final, countless VFL/AFL Grand Finals, the 1956 Olympic Games and 2006 Commonwealth Games. It also hosted the final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Other sporting spectacles include FIFA World Cup soccer qualifiers, rugby league home and away matches and State of Origin and international rugby union clashes. Apart from its sporting events, the MCG has also witnessed many blockbuster music concerts, and even Pope John Paul II held a mass there when he visited Melbourne in 1986. The MCG has a total capacity of 100,024 people, comprising 95,024 seats and 5000 standing room spaces. The stadium also houses the National Sports Museum, which includes some of the most priceless pieces of memorabilia in Australian sporting history.

What a huge stadium and although it looks a bit old still great views anywhere in the stadium. We had a great day watching the ODI, in a wonderful city.

The home of Australian cricket is grounded in the MCG. It is a modern arena with all the trappings of our Wembley stadium. Well laid out and with plenty of services. A great place to visit.

Every day of the Boxing Day Test with the Barmy Army. Great stadium, comfortable seats, good facilities (short queues, if any, for beer, food toilets). Friendly stewards and the friendliest and most fun police I've ever come across.

Went to watch Melbourne Stars. They lost but the vibe and experience were great. Just walked up on the night and got in no problem. Great fun.

The MCG is massive. It is well set out and easy to get around. Security is good and staff are helpful. Atmosphere is always electric but the price of food and drinks like all places like this is a bit high.

Hi If you went on a tour you would be able to take photos. The tours allow you access to the ground as well. They are very informative.

Hello. In the Olympic and Ponsford stands, there are lifts and escalators to all levels. In the Great Southern Stand, the lifts stop one level short of the top.
