No visit to melbourne is truly complete without a stroll in the Bot Gardens. The chinese flora exhibit near the river was interesting. Make a point to read the plaques on the benches donated by people. Some are very moving. There was a wedding and...More

Lovely to walk through Plenty of shady area as it was quite hot. Saying that, some drinking fountains would have come in handy...

This was a welcome oasis of calm after the bustle of the city. It wasn't as colourful as we expected for the time of year. The gift shop by the lake was closed at lunchtime.

A Saturday morning visit, lots of activity all around, heaps of tourists, but still a beautifully maintained quiet oasis. Well worth a visit and a looooong stroll before diving into the frenetic activity and traffic that surrounds it.

The garden is located very close to the Melbourne city. Public parking is available all around. Its a huge garden with beautiful landscapes. A good place to have functions like weddings or parties. A great picnic area. Well maintained.

One of the most beautiful and biggest gardens in the world. Great place for a family picnic. Bring a blanket and food, you will not be disappointed, especially on a beautiful sunny day

After spending most of the day pounding pavement in downtown Melbourne, we treated ourselves to a walk in the park, so to speak. Recent rains had pounded many flowers, especially the roses, but everything looked quite refreshed. Plan on spending a couple hours at least,...More

It is a nice 15 min. walk from the city (where the free tram zone is). Anyway you can also get closer, for example by trams going along St Kilda Road (St Kilda direction).
