The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is located in the Kings Domain Gardens, close to Arts Centre Melbourne and the Southbank entertainment precinct. This hugely popular summertime venue hosts everything from dance festivals, to the rock of Lenny Kravitz to the sounds of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the energy of Kanye West. It is also home to Carols by Candlelight and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's free summertime concert series. Capacity varies, depending on event type. Getting there: If you are driving to the venue Arts Centre Melbourne car park is a short walk from the Bowl with entry from the rear off Sturt or Kavanagh Streets. Otherwise it is a short walk from Flinders Street Station or a tram ride up St Kilda Road.

We attended the Midnight Oil concert in November and could not have been more disappointed with our visit. It was a standing concert on the grassed area leading back from the stage. Although we were there well before the concert started we still did not...More

The venue was good but the view of the stage was restricted and hard to see. I prefer other venues for concerts.

This will be my third attendance at this fantastic theatre company that makes Shakespeare come alive. From the closeness to the action, the Globe itself and the attention to detail. I have visited the Globe in London for several performances and this has the same...More

Often there are concerts and other events on here. Check websites to see what's on! Take a picnic rug, sit on the grass and soak it up. Great place to be on a summer evening!

What a great show! The actors were so engaging and entertaining. We were groundlings and really enjoyed beings so close to the stage. Standing for 2.5hrs requires a bit of fitness and comfortable footwear but worth it.
