This is a really lively and atmospheric area, especially the walk along the banks of the Yarra River. There was plenty going on the day we were there including a festival, several parties and a wedding. Consequently it was quite crowded but not at all...More

A bit disappointing as we went past Rod Laver Arena to Herring Island and back. I guess after river cruising Europe I felt there was not much to see. Didn't have time to do the two trips taking 2 hours and maybe the other cruise...More

We walked down the river path for a few miles. It was clean and well kept and had various food outlets along the way. A lovely walk in the sun.

The nice thing about the Yarra River is that you can pick one side of the river depending on whether you want cafes / shops or a quiet stroll through the Royal Botanical Garden. The views are pretty good, and it is worth doing it...More

Lots to do and see on and around Yarra River. The river runs through the centre of the city and the Melbourne planners have developed it as a vibrant asset. There are a whole variety of cruises available on the river and a fantastic range...More

Love to walk along this river to enjoy the scenery. There are also restaurants and bars along it as well that you can stop for a bite or a drink. Very beautiful, bring along your camera.
