This city park is not among Melbourne's largest. It is pleasant enough, with the city fathers having provided some seating. It can be a good spot to rest for five minutes after a visit to Melbourne's Parliament House or St Patrick's Cathedral. However the nearby...More

Only a small garden and here seemed to be a lot of work happening which minimised the enjoyment. There are so many wonderful parks and gardens nearby that seem so much better. It is though convenient for anyone walking to the CBD from say the...More

Visited on Sunday 4th March. We went for a wander around when we were at the Parliament Building on our way to St Patrick's Cathedral. A nice area to sit and relax.

Parliament Gardens is a pleasant refuge from Melbourne's traffic, just next to the Parliament of Victoria. The small triangular gardens are always well tended and feature the Coles Fountain, which is a vertical fountain you can walk between -- it's always cool on a hot...More

Another garden to appreciate in the heart of Melbourne. This one is only small but still worth a walk through. It has a lovely fountain, different for a conventional fountain, more modern. There are flower beds, and lots of green lawn and space. The old...More

A lovely little garden near Parliament House, with a very impressive fountain. Great grassy area with flower beds, and views of some of Melbourne's more historic buildings.
