Australia's first cat cafe! Cat Cafe Melbourne is where you can get your cat and coffee fix at once. We have several rescue cats that you can play and interact with while enjoying a coffee and treat. We are split over two floors with a relaxing lounge area on the ground floor and a cafe set-up on the first floor. The cats have their own internal staircase and move freely between the two floors. Please note we have an age restriction of 8 years over only and wheelchair access is restricted to the ground floor as we only have stairway access to the first floor.

This was so much fun and all the cats were so cute! The desserts in the cafe (we had the mint slice and coffee cake) were rich and delicious with cute cat drawings on them. Unfortunately we only got an hour though.

The entire cat cafe covers two levels and the cats are allowed to roam freely. The cats are relaxed and fluffy! A few started purring once being pet. Overall, a pleasant cat-perience.

Beautiful well cared for cats interact with visitors. Timed visits work really well as there is time and space to pat or play with the cats. Delicious coffee and cake. The staff are lovely. A great outing for any cat lover.

An enjoyable visit with a friend to see all the resident floofs. You could easily spend hours in their company as they go about their day. Would happily go back again.

I can't have cats where I live. It was perfect just sitting on a comfortable couch watching the cats play and sleep. Coffee was delicious. If you want some peace and quiet from the busy city this is the best place to visit.

A$12for one hour session with cats. Cat's living room in ground floor, where most of cats sleep and rest. Upstairs have more active cats, also serves drinks & cat-related snacks

When we entered the room, the cats were mostly asleep but the staff kindly gave us some cat grass each and all the cats suddenly woke up. Jasper was a most receptive cat, greeting visitors when they come up the steps.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

If you are a cat lover, yes I think it is worth the entrance fee. I think there were 15 cats to pat, talk to and watch and it was a lovely way to spend an hour. Coffee/tea and cake is extra. It was my Mothers day treat.
