This is next to the Yarra River and a few minutes' walk from Flinders Station. I've cycled thru here years back so it was nice to have a stroll again today on a cool winter afternoon. There is a good view of the Melbourne buildings,...More

Running upstream from Princes Bridge, the Alexandra Gardens have a great combination of flowers, grass and river views. Nice for an early morning walk.

We walked through this park on our way to AO, it is where Midsumma Festival is held. It is a lovely walk along past the boat sheds and right near Federation Square and Southbank and and across the road from Queen Victoria Gardens.

We visited on a Pride day and the whole place was buzzing. Lovely atmosphere and a beautiful park by the Yarra River. This is the view from the Eureka tower.

It runs along the Yarra River from St Kilda Road and although not the best of the parks in this area it is still a great park with sweeping views of the city and of course the expanse of green and the trees.

Soft grass, wide paths, park benches, skatepark (and nearby kiosk), drinking-water, some tall shade trees, city and river views. Popular with city workers exercising at lunchtime. A nice place to shelter from city jungle,or just to catch the sun on a cold day.

Melbourne is fortunate to have several gardens close to the city centre. These are just over the river from Federation Square and opposite the Arts centre. You can relax here or walk further on to other gardens, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, LaTrobe's Cottage and...More

Just across the Arts Centre lies a peaceful haven Don t expect too many blooms in autumn but the shedding leaves (though not as colourful as fall in Japan, Korea, east coast of Usa ) will make this place a good backdrop for photoshoots for...More
