From ticket purchase $16 one way or $30 return (senior) to boarding the bus was less of than 5 min. Yes there was a queue but they have their act together and everything goes smoothly. Stress free low cost transport option from Southern Cross Station

Initially took a taxi into the city for convenience but tried the Sky Bus on the way back. Just as quick, pick up locations great and about half price so worthwhile. Give it a try.

This was the first time I had used this service and would definitely use it again. Easy and reliable. Set fee so no surprises. Both drivers were terrific and very helpful.

We bought our return tickets online and saved a few dollars. The crew at Tullamarine couldn’t have been more helpful with a city brochure. On arrival at Southern Cross Station, a smaller van does a circuit through the CBD and the crew there has a...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Id say skybus is cheaper...online you can buy return ticket, 2 adults 4 children for $70, thats airport to city hotel plus city hotel to airport. There is no way a taxi would be cheaper than $35 one way.
