This was incredible! I'm not from Australia, and I had no idea there was this kind of landscape with so much lush fauna and flora. It is a must when visiting the southwest. My partner is from Australia and took me to a free cave in the forest that not many people know about, it was amazing! If you love... More

I consider this as one of the most beautiful places on earth!!! Boranup Kari forest is just one of a kind. It feels like a starwars forrest but is not! The way the light shines trough the trees is stunning and so is the size of the trees!!!

Take the Boranup Drive, a gravel road suitable for two-wheel drive sedans through the karri and mixed eucalyptus forest. The trees are beautiful and the forest is healthy. Also, just north of the northern entrance to the drive on Caves Road is a pullout in a fantasy-like section of the forest that has to be seen to be believed.

We drove through the Boranup Forest when we were down south in early Jan. It is absolutely spectacular! Apparently one of the oldest forests in the world, it has the tallest trees I have ever seen. You feel like you're in a Jurassic Park movie, with all the fern and the Karri. Totally worth a detour!

When we were leaving Augusta, we detoured through Boranup Karri Forest on Caves Road to look at the trees. There is also a gravel road through the forest. The trees are very tall and really straight. There is a stopping area and view point positioned at a really picturesque bit. Well worth the drive when in the area.

The Karri forest is one of the iconic landmarks WA has to offer, and you simply cannot miss it driving south on Caves Rd from Margaret River. You will see a tall forest and diverse southwestern flora unique to the region. The best way is to park up near the lookout and follow one of the trials that lead through... More

Make sure to stop at the lookout to enjoy the views and smells of this fairy tale forest. It is magical. There is a carpark right behind the lookout.
