Twelve of the 18 bells in this tower came from London's St.-Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square as a Bicentenary gift to the people of Western Australia in 1988. Originally cast in the 13th century and recast in the 16th and 18th centuries, they were rung at the homecoming of James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771, after the Battle of El Alamein in 1942 and at the coronation of every British monach since George II in 1727.

What a great experience it was. Alot of very interesting facts and great being able to ring the bells personally. The staff there were very polite and helpful.

What a perfect unique and beautiful attraction that Perth has to offer. This is something i highly recommend, and encourage people to pay that little bit more to be able to ring the bells.

Took the kids to the bell tower during the holidays, they loved it especially the view over Elizabeth Quay and looking around at the city of Perth. They loved the history of all the old bells and watching them be rung was special for them.

This is an amazing structure centrally located at the end of one of the east-west streets in Perth. We went to the top, walked down for the view (now being obliterated on one side by two new tower buildings- too bad). The bell ringers were...More

This tower is situated near the Elizabeth Key at the bottom end of Barrack St in the City of Perth. It radiates a rather cathedral feeling when you enter - very unusual

Lovely and interesting visit to the bell tower. The history of the oldest bell in Australia and the chance to ring one of the bells in the tower should not be missed. Nice views from the observation deck even with all the accommodation construction going...More
