Although it has some well presented walks this park is underdeveloped in terms of people facilities Very good for bird watching, particular water fowl, & casual walks

Nice area with walks in partial shade, good for birding in the morning, lots of water birds, even turtles. Bring your binocular and field guide to raise those nerd points.

Such a nice and peaceful little secret spot for a walk or ride. I love to walk my dog here. There are lots of different parts to discover and you can take a short walk around the small lake or extend it for a long...More

We essentually use this park for walks and relaxation. There is a wide array of wildlife especially black swans and ducks. I always take an opportunity to pause for a wildlife or scenery shot. Worth a visit.

If you fancy a walk with plenty of birdlife then this is for you! Plenty of hard paths that take you in and out of the picturesque surroundings. Helpful signs tell you about the fauna and warn of snakes - I didn't see one but...More

I've been to Lake Monger before so though I'd check out Herdsman Lake today. It's ok but not as nice (I thought) as Lake Monger, Hyde Park or Kings Park. Most of the walk around the lake is along the road which doesn't suit me,...More

This is a hidden gem and a half. The short loop boardwalk near the wildlife centre on the south of Herdsman's is free, and easily accessible, yet has a mysterious quiet to it. Shady, so it's good even on a hot day, and showcases the...More

We spent around6 hours walking the lake perimeter, enjoying nature and doing the numerous caches on the way around. It was a lovely day just be aware that the tiger snake signs are not joking . I even found enough wind to fly my kite.

We caught the bus from Scarborough Beach to the nearest bus stop to Herdsman Park. After a long, hot trek through the commercial jungle of car showrooms, retail outlets etc. we eventually arrived at the park. Further trekking was not a good idea in the heat,so...More

What a terrible disappoint to visit this beautiful location and find that there are no public toilets considering there's a playground area encouraging parents to bring children. Also no picnic tables for those unable to sit on the ground. Ranks very lowly as a place...More
