Over all bluebridge is better than the main competitor, food is good and fairly priced , moving a vehicle on and off was smooth and all decks/facilities were tidy and well maintained. my only problem was the wifi being terrible, 3.5 hrs of data usage cause the wifi wouldn't work at all is a pain in this day and age.

We are loyal Bluebridge customers and have "gone south" often on Bluebridge ships. The staff are always accommodating, willing to help and will solve any problems you may have. The food is pretty good although the bread (chapati) leaves a bit to be desired. We couldn't get an instant coffee but the barista made good coffee. I have noticed over... More

Two of us have just traveled on Bluebridge with a vehicle. I have taken the Interislander Ferry many times but this was my first time on Bluebridge. What a pleasant surprise! From the moment we booked the ticket by phone to when we stepped onto the ship we were made to feel welcome. We expected the seating/lounge to be quite... More

Not nearly as good as Interislander. Crowded seating, slow food service, limited food options. Very slow for boarding and disembarking in a car. Will not use again.

I got the bluebridge ferry on a sunday last week and this time it was the danish one. I got the 2.30am sailing from wellington to picton to go to a job trial in queenstown. This time i booked a single cabin only because i needed to rest before i started my job. Unfortunately it was 47km winds that rocked... More

Booked online, very straight forward with good information. Cars need to arrive 1hour before due time, we arrived at 7am for 8am trip and by the time we had boarded we felt it would have been better to arrive earlier as the ferry was already very full. Checking in was very organised, not sure how traffic is later in the... More

Had a rough trip with seasickness from Picton to Wellington but the return journey was eventless. Good friendly service. The cabins are well worth it - money well spent.

As this is our only experience with any of the ferries, i can say we all found it to be a positive experience. Typically the food was overpriced but it was of good quality. We upgraded to a double room upon boarding and enjoyed the privacy and the shower. Mostly since we had been cooped up in a camper van... More

You can tell when a company values in clients by what happens when an emergency arises. Some one on the previous ferry crossing managed to completely block the toilet system. Consequently our ferry crossing on the 27th December was delayed - yes delayed for 4 hours. The crew were marvellous but the Captain was obviously asleep and the the Company... More

We crossed on a VERY rough afternoon and I was very impressed with the attention the staff gave to passengers who were feeling a bit ill. Will be using this service again for sure!
