A great place to learn about New Zealand, our cultures, traditions and history. I have been there with all my family and relatives and plus my son enjoyed very much the kids entertainments while he was just 3

Unbelievable they charge international visitors - family of four $85 NZD for entry but New Zealanders pay NOTHING - total discrimination. National Galleries exist to showcase their national art and share it and educate their visitors. We never had to pay for a National Gallery...More

Had a look through the museum on our recent Auckland stopover, staff were friendly and helpful and we were much more informed of Auckland's and NZ history culture and more importantly earthquake and volcanic facts.

I went along to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition last week, free entry for local residents. Excellently displayed, no queues, friendly customer service staff and clean and tidy bathrooms. Recommended.

A trip through history, memory lane and the wonders of the world, the museum was loved by all our family (13 of us) so much to see and do, it’s a must do for everyone, visitors abroad as well as our international visitors A+++++
