Sailing our yacht in Hauraki Gulf was a major highlight of our summer holiday. Spacious and always a well protected place to anchor for the night.

This is a really large area, mainly ocean but including the surrounding lands. There are many opportunities for sailing in the gulf, or if you are on the neighbouring land, there are spectacular views.

A beautiful place with many islands and beaches, seen at its best from the deck of a yacht :) take time to explore the coast and islands right across to the Coromandel Peninsula

Many ferries will go across this gulf from auckland ferry terminal. Go early in the morning or evening to catch sunset or sunrise.
