Love using HOHO in cities. Good option to identify Auckland sites to experience. If cruise ships are in town get to your pick up point early as may have to wait to start. Clean buses, basic commentary. Very helpful operators. If getting off at each stop allow the full day to get around. Some may be disappointed no earplug commentary... More

The fare was $45 and it was worth it. The buses run every 30 minutes and the drivers are great. Our favourite stop was on the blue line at Mount Eden where you have a great view of the city. Just one thing, although there is a timetable no one seems to keep to it.

We use most tourist buses when we visit, just to get an idea of where the places of interest are and how far they are spread out. The tour was OK but nothing special. The commentary was somewhat basic but at least it is easy to follow. The day we visited, it wasn't particularly busy so it was easy to... More

We usually like to do the hop-on hop-offs to get an overview of a new city we are visiting. We were disappointed with this product in Auckland. There were only three stops in the Central Business District, and all three were very close to each other. We had a long walk from our CBD hotel to the closest stop. The... More

Sometime you do make mistakes when trying to save money and I think I made one when I decided to do the Auckland Hop on Hop off bus for my wife and I. Obviously the company couldn’t cope with the large number of passengers off two cruise ships who also decided to use the hop on hop off service. A... More

When we first arrive in an unknown city, we like to take the hop on/off bus to get an overall feel of the city and see areas we may want to visit more thoroughly. This service in Auckland is just a shame. The commentary was drab, locations and history mentioned did a huge disservice to the beautiful city of Auckland!

We were on a cruise ship which came into Aucland for the day. We thought that the best way to get around Auckland would be a HoHo bus. We found this trip was rather expensive for what we got, and although we did see some lovely spots, they need to show their city off a little more. Disappointed.

We bought tickets for the day once we arrived in Auckland so we could get an overview of the city. We bought tickets on the red route but they allow you to also use those on the blue route. The red route is a 9 stop trip and if you do not get off the bus it takes one hour.... More

The Hop on Hop off Bus in Auckland is really worth going on. The drivers are friendly and straight away recommend not doing the full circle but to get off at the stops you want to visit as time could run out. Brochures are well illustrated and informative given out by the driver before start of journey. Always inform two... More

We have positive and negative feedback on this business. The positive: it is a great way to get from point a to point b in Auckland. The negative: it was. Taped narration with no ability to ask questions. As well, the taped information simply identified something to lol at with no additional information. Sometimes it wasn't clear where or what...
