This garden took my breath away. Tastefully landscaped gardens, colorful profusion of flowers and serene ambience makes this place a super attraction. The view of Mt. Ringototo just added to the whole package. A must-see place

We accidentally walked up here while visiting nearby Mission Bay and it was a very pleasant surprise. The view from the memorial is really great. You can see downtown Auckland and some of the nearby islands. There is also plenty of open green space to enjoy.

This is a memorial to Michael Joseph Savage, NZ first Labour PM. There is a sunken garden and a pool with hedges and flower beds. The gardens are very well maintained. One gets a lovely view of the Waitemata harbour.
