Taitua Arboretum is a 20-hectare (49-acre) tree collection just out of Hamilton City. The Arboretum has several lakes and a good network of walking tracks. It is a popular spot for Sunday afternoon picnics and weekend weddings.

But probably best to avoid if its been pouring down because it was a bit muddy. Great for dog walking, or even just a walk on your own, to get away from the business of life as it is very quite and peaceful there.

Nice walk, out in the country. Pretty quiet and don't think it is very well known so good to not be bothered by other people! Lots of nice fruit trees also

We love the serene atmosphere here and the circuit around the place is an easy short walk. Ideal as an activity before or after coffee with friends or family. The colourful roosters, hens, chicks and ducklings wandering about are delightful

A nice place to walk at whatever pace you want, easy going and lots to view and learn. A great nature reserve that has been gifted, and well looked after.

A beautiful spot to take the whole family, easy walking and some lovely spots for a picnic. Great for all ages. Good parking.

I was taken here by my Uncle and Aunt who have lived here for 20+ years, so I also got a free history lesson about the place. Diverse range of trees, nice spot for a walkabout, or a picnic. No entry fee either.
