We where here 5 years ago and the car park has not changed - very poorly kept with large holes everywhere and hard to avoid. It's time you put some effort in - I believe this land and falls belong to Waitangi/Ngai Tahu? A local...More

These waterfalls are just a short drive from Paihia. They are right next to the road and there is a small area to park. After seeing the falls from this area we drove down to the camp ground to get a front on view. Well...More

We went through the mangrove forest (only possible at high tide) some of the way and came quite near to the great masses of water from the waterfall!

A small waterfall good top and bottom views for the photographers you would need to see the best times for sun etc to make the most of the falls. If you are in the area worth a visit

Only one minute walk, to get to the waterfalls. Not special and I wouldn’t come by especially just to look at them

It's a short drive and a short walk to see a good display. And it's free! Good photo opportunities when we were there soon after rain.

It’s nice to see. I wouldn’t recommend more than about 15 mins maximum. Watch out for the chickens running loose around the car park area.

It was an easy and short walk to the falls from the carpark. The viewing area has no safety rails, so you could (and people did when we were there) walk right out to the water at the top of the falls. Overall the falls...More

No overnight camping at the car park that I could see when visited last week. There is the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground on Puketona Road, perhaps look up their website if you’re still interested in a paid camp site...
