From the very start when picked up from our hotel to the end of the night this was a really great experience. Our bus driver was very entertaining and informative. The tour was interactive and informative. The meal was fantastic, and overall the night was very good value for money.

This is an excellent experience with great insight into Maori culture. Definitely worth the price as it is great entertainment, great cultural lesson and great food. Be ready - you do not eat for over an hour after you arrive, so have a snack before if needed. And bring a jacket. Much is outdoors in the woods before the meal... More

I was a bit hesitant that this was going to be a silly tourist trap. While it is a commercial venture, it is run by people who are passionate about their culture and heritage and really want to share it. Take the time to ask questions and you will be richly rewarded by the answers. Be willing to look silly... More

These sorts of things can often be really hokey and lame. But the Tamiki show handles the whole " constructed cultural experience for tourists" with charm, humour and respect. They definitely make sure you know what is deeply important to their culture but they also have a bit of fun at their own expense. The singing and dancing was really... More

We went as a family on our first trip to NZ. This is a must do ! What an experience we had. We learned about the Maori way of life, the men learnt the Haka ! Plenty of interesting things for photographs. An amazing show, and traditional food cooked Hanging style. Food and hospitality was amazing. Highly recommend!

This was a great introduction to Maori culture, providing insight into a fundamental aspect of New Zealand history and current culture. The experience provided demonstrations of Maori traditions including a hangi, a meal prepared by cooking meats and vegetables in hot rocks. Allow 3-4 hours.

We sadly couldn't afford the overnight stay being on a backpacking budget but the show and the meal were well worth the money! Was interesting to learn more about this amazing culture. Before we had even arrived we had had a great time, our bus driver, Mark had us in stitches. Highly recommend!

Our evening outing to the Tamaki Maori Village was wonderful. The ladies at the information desk were very efficient and helpful and our driver, Bill was awesome. The entire evening was full of educational and cultural facts and demonstrations at every turn. The buffet dinner was well presented and we are grateful to have had this opportunity to learn about...
