Polynesian Spa is New Zealand’s leading international day spa. In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa.

We were in Rotorua for a couple of days, luckily as this place is very busy. The private rooms are very nicely presented, pay the money for the private rooms, it's not much difference.

Clean, up to date, good variety of spas and sizes. Changing rooms were very good and clean. Hired towels which were great quality. Only thing was the price. Little on the steep side.

This is a fantastic geothermal spa. For $29 you have access to several indoor and outdoor hot spring pools for an unlimited time. Beautiful views of Lake Rotorua. A must do activity for the area, we felt very revitalised afterwards

We noticed a few changes since last year. First there were the large signs about no music or talking on mobile phones plus ones about not spitting in several languages. This is usually an indication that a problem has occurred and since this was a peaceful area with none of these issues before before it was jarring. Second was the... More

Lots of options. We elected to choose the deluxe private pool. It was completely private to the extent that bathing suits were not required. Just the two of us in a hot pool looking up at the stars. Private dressing room included. We chose to do this after our visit to the Tamiki village which was a pleasant and relaxing... More

Been to a lot of natural pools throughout NZ. This is still my favourite. Even comparing to Hanmer springs in south Island, setting is good and space is big compare to this, I still love Polynesian spa because I feel relax and can sleep really well after the dip. If they can arrange special price to frequent visitors will be... More

This is a great place to bring kids to! Slide is an amazing activity for the kids then pick between two other pools that are extra warm! Kids pools would benefit from some warmer water. Showers are good spacious and love heaters in the family changing rooms! We came back three evenings in a row!

Having never been to a place like this before, we were greeted and assisted by very friendly and helpful staff. We chose a private spa that you have to yourself for a period of 30 minutes. The staff give you plenty of time to change and a little green light comes on to let you know that your time is... More

We took the deluxe private spa and had the privacy to enjoy the spa with great nature view. If you wish to take the public pool, highly recommend to visit during non peak hours to avoid the large group of tourist flooding in. Otherwise, it is worth it to take the deluxe private spa with great view. The ladies at... More

I have been a local member off and on for many years. My monthly pass expired and two days later I went in to renew the membership. As I did not have my membership card, poly pools refused to accept payment and refused access. The fact is that in the past month I used the pools approx 15 times, and... More
