It was really good, lovely forests, beautiful lakes and streams, lots of thermal activity, and you will be glad there is a bus to take you back to the start. Souvenirs were reasonably priced, lady in shop was great. It is the Waimangu volcanic valley.

Lovely and relaxed - away from the crowds. 3 yr old managed to walk it, and Papa on a walking stick. Liked the bus option back. too.

Saw this in a guide book and felt we had to take a look. It sounds expensive while you are at the top but once you get going the scenery and information boards let you know that you are somewhere special. Highly recommended

Why isn't this place number 1 attraction in Rotorua as it is absolutely breathtaking and there is way more to see than Wai-O-Tapu. The tropical path you walk down and steam coming out naturally everywhere is incredible. So many different coloured pools and lush ferns...More

Helpful staff. We braved the rain but still impressed with the thermal wonderland. Need mild to moderate fitness . Great to have a shuttle bus to return you to the beginning
