What a brilliant place to visit. For my money the best value geothermal site in Rotoarua. The Lady Know geyser shows off every morning with a spectacular display and then the walk around the park with all the different colours was truly amazing. The staff were found to be both frieindly & knowledgeable. Once finished, one as to negotiate the... More

A must when in the area. The geyser Lady Knox is a little but to much touristic but otherwise it's a great place to visit. All those colors in the lakes and ponds.....

We spent a couple hours here during an afternoon and were really glad we went. We did a self guided tour. The maps they hand out at the ticket counter are very informative, so you can do everything at your own pace. I think 2-3 hours is more than enough to walk around and see everything. The sites were really... More

Got some well needed exercise strolling through the thermal park. Good paths, a few steps in places. Fantastic variety of thermal activity in natural forest setting. Colours incredible. Steam, mud pools, lakes, terraces ... and the lady knox geyser a must if you are organised and get there in plenty of time.

Amazing experience - a must-see if you're visiting rotorua. Be aware that it's a given for opportunists to help themselves while your vehicle is unattended.

Very informative brochure detailing numerous attractions and views of colourful bubbling lakes, waterfalls and steam vents. Full walk is around 3km but is easy to moderate graded, and well signposted. Fascinating colors in the lakes and steam vents from deposited minerals. Huge giftshop and cafe.

We visited Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland with our 2 daughters (9 and 7). We started the morning waiting for the Lady Knox Geyser in our rain gear only to be applying sunscreen 10 minutes later. The presentation of the geyser was great and we were lucky enough to see it go off up to 6 or 7 metres into the air... More
