Not far from Rotorua affords the visitor with beautiful surroundings and an opportunity to get a taste of the vegetation and beautiful scenery

This is a nice walk around the lake but most of the time you will be beside the road or in the trees. Therefore if you want a walk beside a lake, this is not the one. That said, it's still a very nice walk.

This trail goes all the way around the lake. We only walked the portion that goes through the forested area. Some of the trail goes along the highway, so we preferred not to do that portion. The part we did was lovely despite the rain...More

Can't add to these, I'm afraid. The Rototua Duck is probably your best option if you don't want to hire a car.
