Utterly spectacular 11km long walkway along the seafront in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Walk, ride skate or scoot from Bell Block in the north to Port Taranaki to the south taking in the stunning Te Rewa Rewa Bridge, three swimming beaches, a golf club, rolling farm land, rivers and various accessways to residential and shopping areas.

The coastal walkway is also for cyclists. We chose to go by bike. Well made track that takes you over the Te Rewa Rewa bridge, which has to be amongst the coolest footbridges anywhere. Like so many things in this area access to the track...More

Walked a short distance along this beautiful walkway. The whalebone bridge was outstanding. Overcast but very warm day. Lots of people out walking and biking. Definitely worth the time.

This walkway has so much going for it, coastal walks, playgrounds for kids along the way, friendly people, cafes, interesting bridges and lots of changing scenery. Locals and visitors alike really enjoy this walkway. You can either walk or bike it.

The walkway runs north along the coast from the middle of town. Well used by walkers and bikers with great coastal views. Lovely mountain view from Te Rewarewa bridge.

I did the walkway on foot and by bike. It can get busy but the further you go from town the better. There are toilets and drinking fountains along the way and seating for your convenience. Very well done and well used and maintained. Mostly...More

Enjoyed riding the full length of this cycle way. Can be a little busy with other users and you have to be alert to them. We biked on a Monday, so was quiet. Good surface tracks the coast line and plenty wide enough for cyclists...More

I'm not sure, as I wasn't looking for this- but I would venture to say yes- as there were plenty of tourists on bikes- sorry this is most likely too late to matter.
