This museum is well set out. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and there are many exhibits and interactive displays. It obviously appeals to families with children and welcomes their involvement. It was wonderful to see so many children enjoying themselves and learning at the...More

A modern building with a great collection of NZ-related artefacts and stories. The Maori section had an incredible collection of art and cultural items along with informative text on Maori history. A half-day well-spent!

We went here with young children and it was great! Heaps to see and nice children's rooms to hide away in! So sad that they got rid of the golden days attraction! A must do in Wellington!

I think the Museum's current display to the WW1 ANZAC's brings home the real feeling of what it must have been like to live through such a time. The oversized figures depicting real people is the best part of the display.
