Swimming and sunbathing are popular in summer, as are walking, skating, cycling and generally socialising in a pleasant seaside environment. Beside the CBD but not in it, this is a great place to relax, with the addition of cafes, swimming pool and good views.

Reminded me of an old English beach resort though seriously lacking in a range of dining facilities. Oick your day with Wellington's flukey weather.

Bay area is an excellent place to walk around, hang out, swim, just sit and relax... Plus there is a nice view to the down-town of Wellington. It can be busy during some of hours of the day or on weekends.

A lovely little bay with a beautiful yellow sand beach, so refreshing to see. If I am back in Wellington would love to stay in this location. Close to most things and an easy walk to the city centre
