Much more than animals up close

We took our grandkids and were really surprised at the range of activities. If we had planned better we would have taken a picnic lunch and spent longer.

We had a great time with our toddler. So many different animals, cute baby ones (this is probably dependent on the time of year...) and a fun tractor ride. Should allow for at least a few hours. There are facilities to cook your own bbq but a greater cafe too.

Quite a distant yet we enjoyed our stay here. Be sure to allot at least 3 hours for you to enjoy the place. A lot of peacock and peahen roaming around here. You will surely enjoy it here.

Totally worth the drive and a great place for kids to have some interaction with farm animals. Some good spots for pick-nicks when the weather is good.

Regular visitor but every experience is unique. Great opportunity to get up close with an array of mostly domesticated wildlife and birds. Make sure you purchase the animal feed at the entrance as there will be a plethora of potential feeding interactions. Just feeding them your scraps is really putting the animals at risk. Be aware that the animals are... More

I love staglands. Great for all ages. Great range of animals. Great interaction. Great price. I brought a year round pass because it's so good. Take your kids. Take your family. Take your cousins and aunties. Best place ever.

Even thought it was a damp day. The four children I took along and I had a wonderful time. We got to feed most of the animals (including lambs, trout, kune kunes, goats, deer and more), roasted marshmallows on the open fire and even got to enjoy a tractor ride over the river. It was a busy, fun filled day!

Every time we visit Staglands we are always left with that feeling of having the most wonderful family day, shared with the animals in a beautiful New Zealand outdoor setting. Last visit, we celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday with her little friends. While my sister was showing them around, I was able to set up the party table for them,... More
