This is a great place for camping, day picnicking and mountain walks. It is privately owned so an entry fee per car of $10 - so don't be alarmed. Small but lush gardens, plenty of space for kids to run around with a fun mini adventure playground, river and more. The mountain walks are stunning and if you wanted a... More

Recommend driving there over Dyers Pass, then around the harbor to Orton Bradley. Scenic drive only about 45 minutes from the city center. Typical kiwi scenery. Narrow, winding roads, must take your time particularly in winter. After passing through Teddington, the road meanders through a telescoping tree-tunnel before reaching Charteris Bay. Turn to the right and head underneath a welcoming... More

A great place to park a motorhome overnight. Very quiet and peaceful with walks, hikes and streams. Facilities include shower/toilet block, some sites with power. $15 pp and $4 for power. No internet facilities but relax and enjoy the nature.

This park is located across the Harbour from the town of .Lyttelton. Very quiet, peaceful and tranquil. Mako's curiousity leads him to stop and smell the Roses, check out other flora and fauna, look up into the trees, the sky and clouds! We should all take lessons from him, I did. We saw the playground, took awhile to access. I... More

$10 per car for a day trip seemed pretty fair. Walking tracks plentiful and well maintained. Great Park for kids all ages. Loads of spots to picnic in private. Lots of interesting things to see (trees/plants/birds/vintage farm machinery/old fashioned cottage/loads of bridges) 2nd time we've been and we'll be back :)

Awesome spot, Orton Bradley park is really beautifull. We stayed here for one night with a camper van on a powered site. The camp ground was really quiet. The camp kitchen is good and clean. Toilets are ok, lots of fly's when we were there. Hotshowers are build in an old container, basic but clean and works fine. Also tons... More

We camped for 5 nights in November with a 5 & 6 year old (city kids). It was amazing and the kids got to be real kids- splashing, running, playing, exploring, bird feeding and tramping, all in a safe and wonderful environment. We were in a caravan so we were comfy too. Fabulous & special place- highly recommended. Only pitfall... More

This is a historic spot on Banks Peninsular. You can visit for a few hours or grab a campsite and stay a week. Best of both worlds you have the park with native and exotic tree walks or the beach as well as a nice wee stream. The area is out of the worst of the winds. What more could... More

Been here twice now I think it is my favourite place around Christchurch! Nice place to park in your campervan for the night. Organic milk that you can purchase for the morning coffees and then for a walk in the sun and a look around the garden this place is beautiful :)
