This garden is awesome, you can find so many plants. The Visitor Centre is really cool, good spot for lunch or breakfast. The garden is awesome to hang out with family and friends, kids will love it! Awesome for a short walk. The car park by the garden is free for 3 hours. You can walk to any other attraction... More

We are locals and The garden's have been a solace to all after the earthquakes It has never changed, Every year with the seasons it just happens. Autumn -the colours of leaves Winter -crocus ,winter roses Spring -Daffodils ,magnolia,azalea,new bright green leaves Summers.-Picnics The new Cafe in the garden's is amazing Look at the roof it's a masterpiece

What a fantastic botanic gardens! I've spent the last few months strolling through at least once a week with my new baby. The new cafe is top notch and I am constantly stumbling upon new areas that I hadn't discovered. The carnivorous plant / orchid room is a must see- the cacti are superb and even the outdoor paths lead... More

A great place for a walk. Beautiful gardens well looked after. Really recommend a visit. Take a couple of hours to wonder around.

This is an amazing spot for a summer day picnic or coffee, walking around and breathing fresh air! It's amazing how you can escape the buzz of the town to this quiet, green haven! Colorful, peaceful, relaxing!

A visit to the Christchurch Botanic Gardens is a must if you love flowers and a wonderful selection of New Zealand native plants.A nice place on a nice day to relax and get away from the stress of traveling. There is a very nice cafe for a coffee or snack in the gardens and near by is the Avon River... More

Often a place to visit for a stroll around the beautiful gardens which have been recently redesigned,well worth a visit. The cafe serves light meals and coffee and is lovely to just sit and watch the world go by. Good parking is available through the Armagh street entrance.

Have wonderful memories as a nipper going to the gardens after my dad got home from work, with a picnic tea Mum had prepared of salad and new potatoes (from our garden) to spend the last of the summer evening running around the playground, in and out of the paddling pool and playing hide and seek with my family before...
