Recently, as a part of the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship shore excursion, we visited the Christchurch Goldola ride. This takes guests to the top of Mount Cavendish in the Heathcote Valley in the Port Hills. What an outstanding view all around this affords guests. Also...More
Amazing views at the top and the whole ride up as well. Great café at the top to get something to eat and a gift shop as well. You can even walk outside and get a picture with the beautiful mountain backdrop. Highly recommend.

If you have the time, it's a good place to visit and get the view from the top angle. A good place for great view.
very nice restaurant at the top to stop for lunch or just a coffee. walkway around the building gives you a really great view from all angles. a very different view of the hills as you travel back down to the starting point

The views are stunning, even on a cloudy day. We spent hours on top, intending to walk but as it was very windy and there was lots to see anyway we just stayed around the summit station.
