Vast park in the centre of a vibrant (and seeming recovering) city. Had a lovely stroll round parts of it while on a short stop over in Christchurch and really enjoyed the experience.

We didn’t get out of the car but we could see from the road that this was a fantastic outside space to play games or have a picnic.

A beautiful walk in beautiful gardens and the lovely Avon river as well. Also a nice outdoor cafe for a cuppa. A stroll on a sunny day was beautiful.

This place is always changing with the seasons. Always a pleasure to walk around with family and friends. Has been perfect venue for many functions like the Great kiwi beer festival. I hope this park remains this way.

The English founders of Christchurch did this city a great service by setting aside Hagley Park for everyone's enjoyment. It's a hub of city sports (netball, soccer, rugby, tennis, cricket, golf) and a great place to exercise. One of my favourite 45 min walking tracks...More

Unfortunately we arrived too late to see the greenhouses but the rose garden was in full bloom and looked and smelt wonderful Fascinating sculpture of a stairway to nowhere in a pond! Well worth a visit if you can dodge the joggers!

Sorry but I don’t live there . You can probably get your answer via google. Remember it is the middle of summer at Christmas so you will have different opportunities. Enjoy your visit
