This tower was built for Queen Victoria's "Diamond Jubilee" and has been moved multiple times in Christchurch's history. It is quite interesting and has wonderful craftsmanship.

It’s nice to see some of the historic buildings being restored to their original state. Especially with still so much devastation in the downtown area

Definitely a picture to take while in Christchurch, interesting to see it had stopped during the earthquake and that it was restored to its former glory. Amazing block work and something that should be included in your Christchurch 'to-do' list.

It stopped after the quake, but now is up and running again, with small garden next to landmark attraction

This has been restored since the Feb 2011 earthquake. The Clock stopped at the time of the earthquake and remained on that time for several years, well preserved and worth the effort and cost to have it done
