I had no idea this place existed. I stumbled upon it while I was out for a walk after a long drive in to town. Wow. This community is blessed to have such a massive and beautifully well-maintened urban park. The golf course looked like it was worthwhile too. Beautiful walkways, ponds and flower beds abound. Make time for this... More

A highlight of invercargil , lovely to wander through and just relax. Roses were in flower and had a great variety. A prolific amount of wild ducks to share the gardens with and many examples of flora both local and exotic. Seems like the locals enjoy taking their dogs for a stroll.

We came across the Queen's Park gardens by chance, as driving past. Such a lovely place. You can see how well thought out this was in the planning stage. Today it is kept extremely well. But formal and informal areas. A joy to walk around. We are so impressed with the gardens in New Zealand cities.

One of the best parks/gardens we have visited. Acres of roses and other flowering plants, a huge aviary and even an animal enclosure. Just beautiful!

The Queens park in Invercargill makes the Botanic Garden in Wellington seem like a nothing. Extremely well kept and at the entrance you have a display of fountains. Beautiful and well worth visiting and it is big.

Queens Park is a beautiful area. It included a rose garden, rock garden, aviary and animals just to name a few. It was a pleasure to stroll around and quite large.

We had a weekend in Invercargill and ended up wandering through these amazing gardens. World class, absolutely the best gardens I have seen in NZ (living here at present). The Busking festival was on and of excellent quality. The childrens' playground was superb and included loads of lovely play equipment. The Queen mum opened a beautiful fountain thingy which oozed...
