The scenery is beautiful and the driver does a good job of entertaining, but you are on this bus which is not all that roomy or comfortable for 8 hours. If you can sleep which some of the younger ones did, you'll be fine with the long bus ride.

Pleasant way to see the sound - ship was multi-level and offered both indoor seating and an outdoor space. Even paced and not too fast.. Out to the sea and back - slightly different routes going and coming. Allowed for many, many photo opportunities and a relaxing journey. Trip took just over 2 hours.

We went on the overnight Milford Mariner cruise. It is pricey but it was an excellent trip and worth the money. We travelled by coach from Queenstown and even though it was a long journey there was plenty to see. The coach does frequent stops for breaks etc Once on board the cabin was plenty roomy for two and the... More

Spectacular and tip top service. This overnight cruise is pricey but worth every penny. Once you see how remote this place is, you realize what your money goes towards. It takes a boat ride, then a bus ride, and finally you arrive at your cruise ship for the night. A percentage of the proceeds is donated to conservation so you... More

Great trip to Milford Track and 3-4 hour hike though lovely forested areas. An expert guide - Trudy - provided extensive and interesting detail regarding the native birds, trees and plants. Trudy was fun and extremely knowledgeable. We stopped for a wonderful lunch at the Milford Track lodge and had a great day absorbing the beautiful surroundings.

I'm not someone that generally likes bus tours, but I have nothing but praise for the Real Journeys excursion from Queenstown to Milford Sound that my adult daughter and I took in February. The tour was very well-organized, the bus was clean and comfortable, and our driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional as well as a very skilled driver.... More

After a long drive from Wanaka to Milford, we were very excited to spend an overnight cruising Milford on the Wanderer. Without going into detail, there was a mix up with our reservation and their systems. What could have been a near disaster, turned into the highlight of our honeymoon. A very special THANK YOU to the Office Manager, Jason,... More

My husband and I were supposed to drive in a coach and then fly back from the Milford Sound. Drive there took about 6 hours -- stopping for restrooms, photos, etc which was very long, but fine. The Milford Sound was beautiful and we were lucky enough to have a perfect, cloudless day (which is virtually unheard of, as this... More

I was extremely apprehensive about such a long coach trip but it was much better than I thought, this was helped by coach 17 driver Chris who was very informative with a very calm voice and not overpowering in delivery of information. The nature cruise being longer than others was excellent helped by good weather on the 1330 sailing. Also... More

We were blessed with wonderful clear dry weather for our overnight cruise. The boat was fairly small and with only 36 passengers it never felt crowded. Cabins were cute and the shared showers and toilets were clean. We had a lovely walk on the Milford Track with a very informative guide. The food was delicious and a few drinks out... More
