Paradise Safari is a half or full day 4WD safari featuring stunning locations from 'The Lord of The Rings' trilogy and the many other movies filmed in and around Lake Wakatipu, Glenorchy and the Paradise Valley. Our guides will make you feel like you were there. Not a movie fan? The scenery will astound you. Enjoy short walks, snow capped mountains, lakes, native flora and fauna, entertaining commentary and a stop in rural Glenorchy for a complimentary drink. On the full day trip enjoy a delicious lunch at a local vineyard and choose your own afternoon adventure with options to see more nature and scenery or filming locations. The half day tour leaves at 8am or 1:30pm (4.5hr duration) and the full day leaves at 8am (8hrs) every day.

Even on a cold and windy at times day this was a great activity. Although I am not a lord of the rings mega fan it was fun to match the locations with the movie. Slightly disappointed that we did not get chance to look around Arrow town as it's inclusion was the main reason I chose this over other... More

Our daughter booked a full day safari on the day before Christmas for three of us. It was a beautiful sunny day, no clouds around to spoil our views. We had a private vehicle to ourselves. Matt, our guide and driver was outstanding. I rate him a 10 out of 10 ! Such a pleasant fellow. Our daughter is a... More

We booked the 1/2 day LOTR tour for Christmas Eve and it was one of our favourite experiences in Queenstown! Hamish our tour guide was THE BEST! Being a younger couple it was great to have a tour guide the same age that was very easy to get along with and he made some great jokes and recommendations! If you... More

My wife and I took the full day paradise safari tour and we had a very nice experience. A tad expensive, but totally worth it. 1. Our tour guide Santiago, amazing local knowledge, very friendly and punctual. Santiago was courteous, professional and covered wide range of spots. He took extra effort and stopped whenever we asked him to take a... More

This was just a great day out. Jenni our guide was great fun and very knowledgeable about Lord of the Rings and the other movies shot on locations. I was the only one who was a big LOTR fan on the tour so she was courteous towards the others who were there to see the scenery. It was amazing seeing... More

I am so, so glad we got Chris as a tour guide, as he really made the experience for me. The tour itself was pretty interesting and it was very cool to be able to go to exact spots the movie was filmed, see Peter Jackson's house (from the distance), get to wear robes/play with swords in the forest, etc,... If you are a big fan of the movie, this may be worth it. Our guide was very knowledgable of the movie, the area and friendly. However, there isn't much to this tour. You visit three sites that are all accessible by public road and are pretty underwhelming. Most of the time is spent in the truck driving between them,... More

We had a great guide who know a lot about the local wines, area and history. He took us to some great wineries who were knowledgeable and treated us like royalty! Lunch was beautiful ... an antipasto dish of locally sourced food. It was yummy. Our group was small and we had a really good time. I would recommend this... More
